Cotter Recieves Mention; News on Torres and Tuttle

Mavericks infielder Casey Cotter, Northeast 10 Player of the Week for week ending March 19th, followed up his award with an honorable mention for this past week. Cotter batted .436 with seven runs scored and five RBI. Cotter also had two triples and two doubles on the week. He is batting .354 on the season for Merrimack with one home run and sixteen RBI.

Mavericks first-year assistant coach Chris Tuttle had a 4-for-4 afternoon in Misericordia's 10-1 win over Delaware Valley on Sunday. Tuttle is batting .348 with one home run and eleven RBI for the Cougars who are ranked 12th nationally in NCAA DIII.

Dennis Torres (UMass-Amherst) picked up his first win of the season with a 5-4 win over Fordham on Friday. Torres allowed four runs over eight innings, while striking out five and walking one batter. He is 1-2 on the season with a 3.09 ERA.
